This morning was hectic. Cheddar arrived after two days in transit(was suppose to be overnight, but durr, UPS had delays). I opened the box, and saw him upside down. That didn't bode well to me. I tilted the box, hoping he had just landed like that and didn't feel like getting up. He slid but didn't make any movements beside that. I went to my room, opened the container he was in, fearing the worst. It didn't look like he was breathing. I poked him, he was soft, but didn't move. A bit of his tongue was peeking out of his mouth, and his pupils were larger than they should be. He was also cold. I thought he was dead. I placed him back on his belly. Then I cried and laid in my bed for a while. I decided to check up on him, not really knowing why. Then I noticed his pupils were thin and his tongue no longer sticking out. I checked closer, and he was breathing! Man, I was so happy. I took him out and warmed him up on my skin. Poor guy, but I'm so glad he's alive!

S373 aka the Python Ban is being considered in the Senate right now. It will destroy thousands of jobs and bankrupt thousands of American families. The bill has been sensationalized and politicized and has no basis in real science. In fact a report generated by USGS to justify this bill has been called unscientific by an independent panel of scientists. It is being pushed by powerful special interest groups and it will hurt me financially. It is a confiscation of my personal property rights and will not solve the problems proponents claim it addresses. This is clearly a situation that has become politically driven and ignores science that does not support S373. Please do not allow politics to trump good science and sound policy. This is wrong and you promised in your election campaign not to allow situations like this to occur. Please stop S373.
